BDMD Architects was the planner, architect and landscape architect for this 7-acre, 155,000-square-foot, $57 million brownfield redevelopment project that is an excellent example of infill development. Resulting in over 900 created jobs, this project directly involved four public stakeholders and 14 private entities. Wabash Landing features an upscale apartment community, restaurants and shops, a nine-screen movie theatre with stadium seating, Borders Books, a childcare center, a beauty salon, an optician, a six-story Hilton Garden Inn with business-friendly facilities and a 650-space parking garage. The success of the Wabash Landing project is reflected in a public statement by the President of the West Lafayette Redevelopment Commission: "Wabash Landing is the premiere retail, eating and lodging location in Tippecanoe County. It is at the core of our community's revitalized downtown".
