Richard M. Fairbanks Center for Communication and Technology, Butler University
Indianapolis, Indiana

This 45,000-square-foot facility is designed by BDMD academic architects to accommodate Butler University's Department of Telecommunication Arts as well as three other related departments: Computer Science, Communication Studies and Journalism. It houses a recording studio and the on-campus home for WTBU, a fully functioning public television station. The academic architecture of this building has two faces, one that blends with the existing campus limestone vernacular and an open face of two-story, floor-to-ceiling glass that offers a dramatic river view.
