Indiana Masonic Home Master Plan, Indiana Masonic Home
Franklin, Indiana
The Indiana Masonic Home first opened in Franklin, Indiana in 1916 and has been in continuous operation serving the needs of Indiana Masons and their families. As a result of direct competition, aging in place of residents, and rapidly aging facilities the board embarked on the creation of a long term plan for improvements and operational changes to the community. BDMD Architects led these discussions and market studies to determine the best course of action for the facility. Our proposed five-year plan codifies the suggested phased development of several new buildings to replace or amend existing buildings that will improve the overall position of the facility in the marketplace. The plan specifically identifies development options for cottage homes, independent living, assisted living, comprehensive care, infrastructure improvements, landscape improvements, facility identification, signage, and retail opportunities.
