Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College is the nation's oldest Catholic liberal arts college for women. Its beautiful campus near Terre Haute, Indiana, is the site of many fine buildings, several of which are excellent examples of the Italian Renaissance-Revival Style. The master plan addresses many issues including efficient utilization of existing facilities and strategies for future growth, particularly in the areas of student fitness, athletics and recreation. The plan also addresses improvement of campus pedestrian and vehicular circulation, energy efficiency of buildings, utility strategies, protection of natural resources and maintenance to improve longevity of the facilities.
