On this fast-track project, BDMD LA was faced with the challenge of delivering a quality product on time and within budget, while making sure that the project conveyed the excitement of a Casino. The project schedule also required that the landscape be installed in February and March, which is not the ideal planting season in Indiana. 

The plant material was installed in a very short duration while the rest of the contractors were still on site trying to complete their work.  Design work had to be closely coordinated with other consultants on a continuous basis due to frequent design changes because of the schedule.

The landscape had to convey a sense of excitement! Plant material was carefully selected to achieve that goal and provide immediate impact even though planted while dormant. 

A pond was added in front of the casino not only to collect stormwater, but also to provide a sense of drama with fountains.  Landscape mounds were added throughout the project to create interest on the relatively flat site.
