We have specialized in planning and landscape architecture for campuses, parks, streetscapes, plazas, retail and mixed-use, trails and open spaces since the founding of our firm in 1967. We believe that a better perspective of the project’s purpose and function is gained when we have open communication and involvement through the design process.
Our firm takes an integrated design approach to landscape architecture by designing with an intentional correlation to the surrounding built environment. We are committed to transforming a space into a place by promoting discussions with clients, stakeholders and the community. This often results in an artistic, holistic and integrated design that encompasses the analysis, planning, management and stewardship of the space.
Our methodology has been recognized by our clients and colleagues as thoughtful, strategic and pragmatic. Our process is anchored in detailed analysis, hands-on client interaction, meaningful public involvement and broad community support. Recent projects that demonstrate our methodology include the Simon Skjodt International Orangutan Center at the Indianapolis Zoo, the Indianapolis Museum of Art and the River Ridge Commerce Center.
