Browning Day Wins Big at INASLA With Four Awards

INDIANAPOLIS – Browning Day Mullins Dierdorf won four awards during the 2017 INASLA Professional Design Awards program on Sept. 22, as judged by the Pennsylvania Delaware Chapter of ASLA.

Browning Day received the following design awards:

  • Design Constructed Works Category – Merit Award for Gate 1 Plaza, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indianapolis, Ind.

  • Design Constructed Works Category – Merit Award for Indiana University’s Conrad Prebys Amphitheater, Bloomington, Ind.

  • Design Constructed Works Category – Merit Award for Indiana University’s School of Global and International Studies; Bloomington, Ind.

  • Planning and Analysis CategoryMerit Award for 2017-2020 City of West Lafayette Parks and Recreation System Master Plan, West Lafayette, Ind.

The American Society of Landscape Architects Indiana Chapter (INASLA) Professional Awards Program was created to recognize professional excellence and outstanding examples of landscape architecture by Indiana landscape architects. These awards honor works that represent the forefront of the profession of Landscape Architecture and embody high levels of creativity and imagination, according to the INASLA website.

Browning Day is in the midst of celebrating 50 years as a landscape architecture, planning, architecture and design firm. We are fortunate enough to take the wisdom from our founders and continue their mission to design beautiful places and spaces for the end users, says Barth Hendrickson, ASLA, principal of landscape architecture and executive vice president.

During the ASLA annual meeting, Ryan Cambridge, ASLA, planning practice leader, spoke to peers on changing the way we talk parks and public spaces.
