Dave Long is an Associate Principal and Senior Project Manager at Browning Day. Dave’s body of work includes The International Orangutan Center at the Indianapolis Zoo, Butler University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Indianapolis Motor Speedway Control Tower, Herron School of Art & Design and Union Station.
Dave knew he wanted to become an architect at the tender age of 12. His love for drawing house plans and his fascination with different ways of putting spaces together gradually grew into a strong interest in Architecture. By the 7th grade, Dave was carefully studying buildings, focusing on different elements of the design and how structures fit in their environment.
Dave is a truly laid back person whose hobbies include bicycling, swimming and fun home improvement projects. Dave fell in love with oceanography after reading about it in the sixth grade, and would have probably pursued that career if he were not an architect.
Dave is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he earned his Bachelor of Science in 1981 and a Master of Architecture in 1983.
