Jonathan Hess is a Principal and the CEO of Browning Day. Many landmarks in the city of Indianapolis are a testament to his ability to translate clients’ vision into one of a kind innovative design solutions that exceed expectations and stand the test of time. He is recognized for his design work on the International Orangutan Center at the Indianapolis Zoo, the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, the Indianapolis Museum of Art and additions to the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Jonathan leads our College & University market. His projects include the Jacobs School of Music and the Global and International Studies Building at Indiana University Bloomington, the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and the Schrott Center for the Performing Arts at Butler University as well numerous other projects for religious and corporate clients. A graduate of the University of Illinois where he earned a Master of Architecture in 1982 and Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies in 1979, Jonathan practiced in several offices in Illinois and Indiana before joining Browning Day Mullins Dierdorf as a Project Architect in 1984. He became a principal in 1988 and is currently the president of the firm.
