Jonathan Young is an associate and Director of Preservation & Reuse with Browning Day. Jonathan leads our Historic Preservation market with more than 15 years of experience providing creative design solutions for clients nationwide. Walking in a restored building at the end of a project and knowing that you have worked with the client to breathe life back into a dying landmark is extremely satisfying for Jonathan. His projects include the Indiana State Fairgrounds Coliseum Renovation, Princeton Theatre Renovation, and the Crown Hill Preservation Plan. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys reading, traveling, working on his historic house, but most importantly, playing with his two boys.
Jonathan graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Architecture and Spanish, and from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign with a Master of Architecture Degree with a focus on history and preservation. Jonathan also studied architecture at Ecole d’ Architecture de Versailles as well as architecture and Spanish at the Instituto Cultural in Oaxaca, Mexico.
