Tim Wise Browning Day Architects Indianapolis

Tim Wise, AIA, RID, LEED AP BD+CPrincipal, Executive Vice President

Tim is a Principal and Executive Vice President at Browning Day Mullins Dierdorf. His focus is on the design of architecture and interiors for the firm. Tim has a combined love for art and space and offers a hands-on approach with every client to aid in the culmination of the right design for them. He believes it’s not just about creating an aesthetic; it is about fostering a relationship between the clients’ wants and needs in alignment with their budget. His holistic approach to design and space works from the inside out. Through working with the client and visualizing the kind of space they need, the architecture is formed. Neither should be formed without the other. They are the essence of each other and help form a successful design.

Tim works in the College and University market along with leading the Senior Care market and Corporate market. His experience ranges from projects for Indiana University, Purdue University, Butler University, and Harrison College, along with leading the design on several senior care facilities both locally and nationally. He has also worked with Cummins, Eli Lilly, Rolls Royce and GEICO.

Since childhood, Wise has had a passion for fine arts and knew he would use his love for all things design to become a creator of space and form; something people want to live, work and be a part of. He enjoys the social interaction in a physical space that infuses everyday culture.

Wise earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Herron School of Art and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. He has worked for several firms in Indiana each of which have shaped him professionally. Wise joined Browning Day in 2015 as one of its newest principals.

“We live in a created world and I feel that God’s fingerprints are all around us. From the colors of fall to the renewal of spring we can see that the Master designer, architect and engineer created this world. From the spiral in a leaf to texture of bamboo we are surrounded by great design.”
