Allen PlazaIndianapolis, Indiana

This renovation to what was previously known as the Jefferson Building enlivens the formerly stark flat precast and limestone building through the addition of contemporary forms in metal panel, colored glass and a prominent glass corner tower. The first floor of the new building houses a 12,000 square foot restaurant with a plaza that provides seasonal outdoor seating. The plaza also hosts exhibit space for Indianapolis’ rotating sculpture program in addition to a stage for musical performances. Above the restaurant are three levels of corporate offices and four floors of condominiums. A ninth floor was added, offering a mix of 3,000 and 4,000 square foot penthouse condominiums with all glass exterior walls and corner terraces with stunning views of downtown, Conseco Fieldhouse, and the Indianapolis Colts’ Lucas Oil Stadium.
