Hilbert Circle TheatreIndianapolis, Indiana
This significant renovation to the Hilbert Circle Theatre stage improved the acoustics of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s performance hall while also increasing the size of the stage to accommodate more musicians and create better on-stage seating for Symphony patrons.
It was paramount that the new design elements blend into the prevailing character of the historic theater. For that reason, sound reflectors above the stage, were custom-designed, as were the sidewalls. The sound reflectors can be shifted aside for other types of stage performances, while the sidewalls were designed to allow the stage to be custom tuned and adjusted as needed. Construction on this project was completed in just 11 weeks.
