Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library, Eagle BranchIndianapolis, IN

Identified in the Library’s long-range Strategic Plan to maximize access to services and improve Library visibility on the city’s west side, the new Eagle Branch Public Library is a 20,000 square-foot, single-story structure located on 3.66 acres in Indianapolis’ International Marketplace district.

Eagle Branch features cutting-edge spaces for books, DVDs and other materials; functional and engaging areas for children, teens and adults; increased access to computers and new technologies; group study rooms and tutoring spaces; and a community meeting room with a 100-person capacity.

In pursuit of LEED Silver certification, the Eagle Branch is implementing the latest in energy-efficient technologies that are anticipated to save the library over $10,000 per year in operating costs.
